We will pick you up at around 07:30 (07:30AM) from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park, carrying a picnic lunch box we set off for a full-day game drive. Tanzania’s third-largest national park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park, famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffe, and zebra. After the game drive you drive to Karatu for overnight at your lodge, where a delicious dinner awaits you. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge

Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater game drive and return to Arusha

On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast, you leave the lodge for the Ngorongoro Crater at around 06:30 (06:30AM). The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor area of about 260 sq km with a depth of over 600m. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action—keeping your camera ready is recommended! African elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions are plentiful. After a picnic lunch at the beautiful hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top of the crater. A 3,5 to 4-hour drive to Arusha is the last leg of your safari. We will drop you off at your hotel in Arusha around 19:30 to 20:00 (7:30 to 8:00PM) With an incredible experience and many memories to cherish, this is when you bid goodbye to the team.
